Tips for smart and compelling corporate videos!

Admittedly, the term “corporate video” can be less than enticing when it comes to grabbing the attention of the customers and prospects. But, with the right content and a few basic tools, any business can create engaging, high-quality corporate video that will help you in solidifying your relationship with existing customers and bring in new prospects. Done right, a corporate video has an unequalled ability to explain mostly everything about the corporate firm, from its history to its current status, from its main objectives to its main goals, everything.

 Attention grabbing videos

Most videos have 8 seconds to grab attention before people close the window. That is not a lot of time, and means you have to pack a good punch right in the beginning of your video. If the punch is not there than there is no point in making the video no matter how good it is in the middle or at the end because the customer has lost the interest in watching the video in the first 8 seconds itself. As they say “First impression is the last impression”.

Anybody with a camera in hand can make a video but without proper skills and keeping in mind small things the video is good for nothing. So to make a good corporate video there are some things which you should take care of.

Quick Tips

1)      Consider what information your business has to share in the video to boom up. You can’t share everything in the video because of the time constraints, so you should be crystal clear on the information you need to share.

2)      Have a plan in mind about the way in which you will shoot the video. Not only it will avoid otherwise unavoidable chaos, it will also help you and the actors stress free and confident.

3)      Think out of the box. You should think different and unique about the story telling ways in the video and what’s the best possible way in conveying your message to the customers that too in a very effective manner.

4)      Do follow the 15 seconds rule. In a corporate video it’s important that you change the pace, rhythm and/or content rotation every 15 seconds otherwise it will be so monotonous and boring for your customers.

 

Shoot a smart looking corporate video and it will be the best advertisement for your company. It has an instant connect with people and can help a great deal in brand recall!
